2023 3nd Power System and Green Energy Conference (PSGEC 2023) Aug. 25-27, 2023 | Shanghai, China https://www.psgec.org/ 2023 3rd Power System and Green Energy Conference (PSGEC 2023) will be held in Shanghai, China during Aug. 24-26, 2023. PSGEC 2023 is organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, media supported by Journal Proceedings of the CSEE, CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems(CSEE JPES), Automation of Electric Power System, Power System Protection and Control, Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems, POWER SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY, High Voltage Engineering, eletric Power Automation Equipment, High Voltage, Electric Power Information and Communication Technology,Journal of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering, Electric and Machines and Control, Electric Machines and Control Applications, etc. We warmly welcome prospective authors to submit their new research or technological contributions to PSGEC 2023, for sharing valuable experiences with scientists and students from around the world. ●Indexing & Publicaiton All accepted and presented papers will be included into Conference Proceedings of PSGEC 2023. The publisher will submit articles to Engineering Village, Scopus, Web of Science and other databases for review and indexing after publication. *Selected papers with great extension will be recommended to publish in international journals. PSGEC 2022/2021 conference proceeding has been indexed by EI Compendex, Scopus! ●Speakers Prof. Ka-wai Eric Cheng, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China Prof. Eric Cheng graduated from the University of Bath in 1987 and started research in Power Electronics and obtained his PhD in 1990 from the same university. He was then employed by the University of Bath as a research officer and in 1991 he joined the University of Birmingham as a research fellow. He worked on a number of projects in the Birmingham University including development of power conditioning system for high power ion-thruster for space application, high frequency magnetics, AC to AC conditioning system for future drive applications. He joined Lucas Electronics as a Senior Engineer in 1995, and in 1996 he joined Lucas Advanced Vehicle Systems Development and in 1997 he joined Lucas Aerospace as a Principal Engineer. During his three years in Lucas, he was the project leader of a number of projects with multinational companies and leader of the power electronics group. He developed the advanced power electronics concept for civil aircraft power system, high temperature power semiconductor and aircraft power conditioning and actuation systems. Prof. Chris Mi, San Diego State University, USA Dr. Mi is the distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at San Diego State University. He is a Fellow of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). He is also the Director of the US Department of Energy-funded Graduate Automotive Technology Education (GATE) Center for Electric Drive Transportation at SDSU. He was previously a faculty member at the University of Michigan-Dearborn from 2001 to 2015, and an Electrical Engineer with General Electric from 2000 to 2001. He also served as the CTO of 1Power Solutions from 2008 to 2011. Dr. Mi received his Ph. D from the University of Toronto, Canada, in 2001. Dr. Mi has published five books, 204 journal papers, 126 conference papers, and 25 issued and pending patents. He served as Editor-in-Chief, Area Editor, Guest Editor, and Associate Editor of multiple IEEE Transactions and international journals, as well as the General Chair of over ten IEEE international conferences. Dr. Mi has won numerous awards, including the “Distinguished Teaching Award” and “Distinguished Research Award” from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, IEEE Region 4 “Outstanding Engineer Award,” IEEE Southeastern Michigan Section “Outstanding Professional Award,” and SAE “Environmental Excellence in Transportation (E2T) Award.” Prof. Chan Siew Hwa, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Dr CHAN Siew Hwa is a Fellow of Academy of Engineering, Singapore (SAEng), a Fellow of ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET), President’s Chair in Energy and a professor in Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He joined NTU in 1991 after obtaining his PhD and subsequently working as a post-doctoral researcher at Imperial College London. He leads the hydrogen and fuel cell research at Energy Research Institute @ NTU. Since 2017, he has been appointed as Senior Vice President of China-Singapore International Joint Research Institute in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, focusing on incubation and commercialization of technologies. Dr Chan has been active in serving academic & research communities and industries such as Singapore’s covering focal point for the Sub-committee on Sustainable Energy Research (SCSER) under the ASEAN Committee of Science, Technology, and Innovation (COSTI), Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) Singapore’s Future Energy Technology (Hydrogen) Watch Group, Governing Board of Centre for Hydrogen Innovation at National University of Singapore , Advisory Board of Total SA and Sydrogen Energy, etc. He is also active in commercialization of technologies including 12 technology licensing. Dr Chan was a Director of Maz Energy Pte Ltd (2004 – 2022) with core business in nitroparaffin-based fuel additives and founded Xin Xiang (Guangzhou) Hydrogen Technologies Co., Ltd., which is a tech-company manufacturing key components of PEMFC. He has published ~300 refereed journal papers with total citations of >15K and h-index of 64. He was a recipient of NTU’s Teacher-of-the-year, Nanyang Award (Research Excellence), Nanyang Award (Innovation Entrepreneurship), George-Stephenson Medal from IMechE, UK, Outstanding Scientific Achievement from International Association of Hydrogen Energy (IAHE), USA, Star of Innovation Talent award from Guangzhou government, World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds from Thomson-Reuters, etc. Prof. Atsuo Kawamura, Yokohama National University, Japan Atsuo Kawamura (Life Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S.E.E., M.S.E.E., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1976, 1978, and 1981, respectively. After the five-year-stay at the University of Missouri-Columbia as a faculty member, he joined Yokohama National University in 1986, and in 1996 he became a professor. He served as a dean of College of Engineering Science and Graduate School of Engineering from 2013 to 2015. He has become Professor Emeritus in 2019, and now is a professor of endowed chair (Power Electronics) at the same university. He has served to completion of 38 Ph.D and 147 Master’s and 179 Bacheler’s students. He holds 7 patents and has published more than 130 journal papers and 320 international and 560 domestic conference papers, and 9 books. (h-index(Google) is 45.) His research interests include power electronics, digital control, electric vehicles, robotics, train traction control, etc. He received several awards including several Transactions Prize Paper Awards from IEEE and IEEJ. Dr. Kawamura is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan(IEE of Japan). Prof. Yi Zhang,RTDS Technologies Inc., Canada Yi Zhang joined RTDS Technologies Inc. in 2000, where he now serves as Vice-President R&D and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Dr. Zhang has over 31 years of experiences working in power system simulation and analysis. His expertise includes the Real Time EMT Simulation, Voltage Stability and HVDC, etc. As a principal member of the RTDS development team, Dr. Zhang developed many simulation models on RTDS Real Time Simulator in the past over 22 years. At present, he leads the research and development activities in RTDS Technologies. Dr. Zhang obtained Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and The University of Manitoba. He is a registered professional engineer in the province of Manitoba. Dr. Zhang also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Manitoba Canada and Hunan University China, and an editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery. Dr. Zhang was elected as Fellow of IEEE in 2020, Fellow of Engineering Institute of Canada in 2021, and Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering in 2022. Prof. Marco Liserre, Kiel University, Germany Head of the chair since September 16th, 2013.He has been Associate Professor at Bari Polytechnic (Italy) and Professor in reliable power electronics at Aalborg University (Denmark). Listed from 2014 in “The world’s most influential scientific minds” (highly cited) by ISI Thomson. Chair of the Technical Committee on Electronic Grid System, IEEE-PELS, 2021-2023 Co-Editor in Chief of the Open Journal on Power Electronics. Convenor and Founder of the CIGRE Working Group "Power electronics-based transformer technology, design, grid integration and services provision to the distribution grid". Prof. Jinjun Liu, Xi'an Jiaotong University, China He is currently a XJTU Distinguished Professor of Power Electronics. His research interests include modeling, control, and design methods for power converters and electronified power systems, and micro-grids for sustainable energy and distributed generation. Dr. Liu received for many times governmental awards at national level or provincial/ministerial level for scientific research/teaching achievements. He served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON POWER ELECTRONICS since 2006, 2015-2019 Executive Vice President and 2020-2021 Vice President of IEEE PELS, and was elevated IEEE Fellow in 2018. He was the 2013-2021 Vice President for International Affairs, China Power Supply Society (CPSS), and the inaugural Editor-in-Chief of CPSS Transactions on Power Electronics and Applications. He was elected the President of CPSS in Nov. 2021.
