InfoVision 2018: International Conference on Business Data Analytics
CALL FOR PAPERS
http://www.infovision.org.in/
19-21 February 2018, Bengaluru, India

Technology drives innovation, and innovation leads to better outcomes -- be it related to economic, social, or environmental concerns. As a technology, Data Analytics is a driver of innovation in today’s world. It is both a vertical and a horizontal, cutting across all sectors of society.

We are seeing users move beyond traditional Business Intelligence techniques to Next Generation Analytics. Next Generation Analytics includes exploration and discovery and advanced analytics such as predictive and prescriptive analytics. It includes Visual Analytics, which allows the user to explore the data and resulting analysis visually often leading to a better understanding of the data. The Internet of Things requires the application of analytics to streaming data to enable real time or near real time decision-making. Next Generation Analytics will drive innovation by providing context to information and enable better and faster decision-making.

InfoVision is a summit series initiated in 2005 with the aim of creating a platform for bringing together academic researchers in the information sciences and technologies and business heads in the information industry to discuss and deliberate on a chosen theme. Experts from the industry and the academia join the debate and share their views. Best practices and success stories are showcased. InfoVision is an intellectual confederation of all stakeholders – academia, industry, government and the user groups, to meet as partners and to develop a unified framework and formulate strategies for capitalizing knowledge for performance.

The theme for InfoVision 2018 is Next Generation Analytics: Data-Driven Innovation. The conference invites papers that explore Next Generation Analytics and its impact on innovation and productivity: economic, social and environmental productivity. Papers are invited across a broad range of related areas, including but not limited to the following:

• Financial analytics
• Marketing analytics
• Visual analytics
• Smart cities
• Health analytics
• Data analytics and productivity
• The Industrial Internet of Things
• Data governance
