The IEEE Women in Science and Engineering Conference 2011 is an inaugural conference. Highlighting the important role that women play in the digital, technical and scientific worlds, we would like to invite three types of papers:

- Experience reports encompass the knowledge and skills accomplished over duration of time in a given area: industry/academia/government. Such experience reports would be helpful to others to understand the domain and to appreciate the contributions made in that area

- Technical papers in science and engineering research areas

- Challenges faced by women in science and engineering
