“New Challenges in Medical Image Processing”
for CODIT’18
April 10-13, 2018 – Thessaloniki, Greece

Session description
This special session deals with the new advances in medical image processing and analysing from single or multimodality systems, and focuses on the new challenges in the fields of biomedical research and clinical practice.
The goal is to provide an overview of advanced medical image processing theories/algorithms/systems/solutions and technologies.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• medical imaging (CT, PET, MRI, SPECT, Ultrasound, etc.)
• biological imaging (optical imaging, molecular imaging, microscopy, hyperspectral imaging, etc.)
• medical image processing and analysis
• Image reconstruction
• Computer-aided diagnosis systems
• image–guided therapy
• treatment monitoring and planning
• 2D and 3D modelling

SUBMISSION
Papers must be submitted electronically for peer review through PaperCept by December 10, 2017: http://controls.papercept.net/conferences/scripts/start.pl. In PaperCept, click on the CoDIT 2018 link “Submit a Contribution to CoDIT'18” and follow the steps.
All papers must be written in English and should describe original work. The length of the paper is limited to a maximum of 6 pages (in the standard IEEE conference double column format).
DEADLINES

December 10, 2017: deadline for paper submission
February 4, 2018: notification of acceptance/reject
February 28, 2018: deadline for final paper and registration.

Proceedings of Past Editions
Proceedings of all past editions of CoDIT are published through IEEE Xplore and indexed in:

DBLP, Conference Proceedings Citation Index | Thomson Reuters, SCOPUS, Ei Compendex and IEEE.
