23rd International Database Engineering & Applications Symposium
IDEAS 2019 will be hosted by Harokopio University, June 10-12, 2019 Athens, Greece Call for Track Papers: Data Sharing, Security and Privacy This track forms part of the annual IDEAS conference: a top international forum for data engineering researchers, practitioners, developers, and application users to explore revolutionary ideas and results, and to exchange techniques, tools, and experiences. Scope Online and connected environments (Web, social networks, etc.) provide users, within their platforms, powerful ways to interact with other users through different forms and modalities. Consequently, each user can go through different type of heterogeneous shared data (for various reasons), exchange and publish data, etc. Although such environments are attracting continuously more and more users, several security and privacy problems related to their usage are emerging. For instance, how to provide users with an easy way to protect their shared data? How to protect a data repository while several related information about the same content is already published on the same or other networks? How to define publication strategies? etc. The general aim of this track is to assess the current approaches and technologies, as well as to outline the major challenges and future perspectives, related to data sharing, security and privacy protection. It aims to provide an overview of the state of the art, latest techniques, studies, and approaches as well as future directions in this field, by including a wide range of interdisciplinary contributions from various research groups. The primary target audience for the track includes researchers, scholars, postgraduate students and developers who are interested in data management, security and protection. Topics Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following. • Survey on existing and emerging security and privacy problems • Publication and Sharing risks • User profiling risks • Discovering fake entities in social networks • Anonymization • Tracability • Trust management • Privacy Management • Inference Management • Discovering connected entities • Abnormal activities detection • Cyber terrorism Submission for the track All paper submission for IDEAS’2019 and its tracks would be via the corresponding pages on ConfSys. Authors should sign up as user of the system at: https://confsys.encs.concordia.ca/ConfSys/jsp/index.jsp When submitting a paper, for a track pl. select the appropriate track unless you are submitting to the main event (indicated by "General Pool").
