Call For Papers

The Journal of Environmental Investing is pleased to invite papers for its second issue to be published in November 2010. In answering a call to provide scholarly discourse, intellectual rigor, and market solutions to challenges of global import at the intersection of environment and investing, the Journal invites original papers on the following investment-related themes:

Clean technologies, including energy efficiency
Carbon and greenhouse gases
Water
Sustainable property
Land use, land use change, and forestry

The Journal aims to fill the need for an exchange of ideas and information among investors, researchers, policy-makers, and other stakeholders interested in the search for real solutions to the sobering state of global environmental affairs. Our approach is strongly interdisciplinary, as natural resource usage and stewardship affect all sectors of the economy as well as international goals for sustainable development. By offering a rigorous discussion of environmental challenges filtered through a multidisciplinary lens we aim to engender ideas that reveal and create opportunities for capital investment. Special consideration will be given to papers that address macro trends redefining the global investment sphere, such as the growing economic and industrial importance of emerging markets, as well as the continuing trends of resource scarcity and degradation.
Prior to accepting a manuscript for review, the Journal requests all authors to submit an abstract not to exceed 300 words. Following careful consideration by members of the Editorial Board, submission of an original manuscript may be requested. Manuscripts of the following types will be considered: research articles, literature reviews, book reviews, commentaries, and points of view. All submitted papers will undergo a double-blind, peer- review process. Details on the Journal’s focus and scope, author guidelines, types of manuscripts accepted for review, and the peer-review process may be found at www.thejei.com. Contributors are required to register for the Journal as abstracts and papers will only be accepted through the web site, but JEI is an open-access journal and free of cost.
