CALL FOR VIDEOS - IEEE ARGENCON 2020
We invite all researchers and enthusiasts to submit videos to our technical video track, showcasing your idea, proof-of-technology, or work in progress. Accepted video submissions will be featured on the IEEE ARGENCON 2020 Youtube Channel, and indexed in IEEE Xplore. For the list of topics visit https://attend.ieee.org/argencon-2020/en/argencon-2020-topic-and-subtopic-finder-en/. Please note that this is not a closed list, you may specify a new related subtopic when you submit your video. Submissions to the Technical Video Track should be videos with intent to demonstrate preliminary results, consolidated researched results, works-in-progress, and research/technical demonstrations. The topic of a video might, for example, be a general or specific area of a track, the work of a particular researcher or group (yourselves or others), or a concrete application of a given technique. A video may concern work with different levels of maturity: you can introduce something new and interesting, describing known but ongoing research, or summarize a mature area or application, showing its impact on society. The intended audience of a video can be students learning about a topic in a classroom, researchers interested in learning more about subfields outside their own, the general public, or the media, etc. Technical video submissions should be limited to 2 to 5 minutes in length and comply with the specification outlined below. Your video should also include a title slide at its beginning detailing the title, authors, and affiliations (similar to a typical presentation title slide). Videos submitted in this category should be able to stand on their own, adequately present their topic, and may be narrated in Spanish or in English. Submitters should be aware that selected videos will be included in the electronic proceedings, in the Technical Video section, and will also be prominently displayed during the IEEE ARGENCON 2020. Special announcement to authors with videos related to their paper/poster submissions: Please be advised that although you may have uploaded your video content along with your submission through the process outlined through CMT IEEE ARGENCON 2020 site; for any video content to be considered as part of this Call for Videos, they must be submitted again separately through the process outlined in the following page: https://attend.ieee.org/argencon-2020/en/call-for-videos/. You must also note that the maximum length of a video for paper presentation is 15 minutes, whereas the maximum length of these technical videos is 5 minutes. If you submit the same video of your paper presentation, this could be rejected if the maximum length is not respected. Hence, we strongly recommend that you refactor your presentation video, or even better, that you make a new one. Perhaps giving another standpoint for the same work, proposing an idea that arises from the paper research, or using the capabilities of modern multimedia to expose parts of your work that would be impossible to depict using a regular paper. |
