Workshop on Social Network and Collaborative System Security (SNCSS2010)
(http://homepage.cs.latrobe.edu.au/ekpardede/sncss2010/) September 1 - 3, 2010 - Melbourne, Australia WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION Social Network and Collaborative Systems (SNCS) have become components of human life in personal, social and professional level. Web 2.0 technologies and the fast coming web 3.0 have contributed to the ubiquity of SNCS. To ensure the security of the SNCS, active researches have been conducted, not only from researchers in the area of Networking, Databases, Web Engineering, but also to researchers in the area of social studies, communication and Businesses. The worshop welcome research and practical papers in the are listed below. The list of topics is by no means exhaustive. Please contact the organiser if unsure about the suitability of a topic for the workshop. [1] Security and Privacy of Social Network and Collaborative Systems [2] Risk and the Contingency plans for Social Network and Collaborative Systems [3] Security and Privacy in User-Derived Content (Wiki, Blog, Tagging, etc) [4] Novel SNCS Applications Security/Privacy Management (Design, Implementation, Deployment, Analysis) [5] Security and Privacy issues in Viral Marketing, Crowdsourcing, etc IMPORTANT DATES Paper Submission due date : May 01, 2010 Review Notification : June 07, 2010 Camera Ready Paper : June 21, 2010 Workshop date : September 1-3, 2010 SUBMISSION AND PROCEEDINGS Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal/conference/workshop. Papers submitted to this workshop will undergo a peer-review process. Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings to be published by IEEE Computer Science in the same volume as the main conference papers. Papers must be clearly presented in English, must not exceed 8 pages, including tables, figures, references and appendixes, in IEEE CS proceedings 8.5" x 11" Two-Column Format, with Portable Document Format (.pdf). Papers will be selected based on their originality, timeliness, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Submission of a paper should be regarded as a commitment that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and attend the workshop to present the work.
