Call For Papers

ISTREND 2018 (ADBIS 2018)

The workshop main goals:

The goal of the workshop is to provide a forum to present and discuss finished and on-going work in Information’s Systems research and its applications. A special focus is given to current trends in conjunction with modelling. The workshop expects contributions that leverage the use of Information Systems for Digital Innovation and the Digital Transformation by modelling and architecture-center approaches considering the trend of Industrial Internet (Industry 4.0).

The various models and description and design approaches for architecture of information systems can be investigated; those approaches that reflect the different facets of an operating environment in a socio-technological ecosystem that includes components as human resources, business processes, processes of data and information, applications, IoT, mobile equipment etc. Their relationships to each other and to the environment, furthermore the principles for guiding its design and evolution could be analyzed. The scientific methods for the examination of such a complex environment is the Design Science Research and Case Study Paradigm. The experiences of using the before-mentioned scientific paradigms as meta-methodologies can be summarized as well and the experience can yield insights into the successful results.

The Workshop Chairs therefore invite authors to submit original research, research in progress and industry examples or practices on topics of interest in advanced information systems modeling and architecture in enterprise.
Submission Guidelines

Submitted papers should present substantially original results not currently under review or published elsewhere. Papers should be written in English and must comply with the Springer formatting guidelines (instructions for authors are available at https://www.springer.com/gp/authors-editors/conference-proceedings/conference-proceedings-guidelines). Papers should be formatted in Latex and submitted in PDF format using the online submission system. Paper length is limited to 12 pages.
