Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
The annual PTBi Symposium is a well-established series of scientific meetings organized by the Polish Bioinformatics Society. It features high quality inspiring keynote talks, forms an ideal forum for discussing results for mid-, and early-stage researchers, and is a great opportunity for meeting new people working in various areas of computational biology.
The conference will be held in Wroclaw, at the Congress Center in the campus of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Politechnika Wroclawska). Wroclaw is the largest city in western Poland and the capital of Lower Silesia region. The keynote speakers include Prof. Johannes Söding, Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Goettingen, Germany, Prof. Joanna Polańska, Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland, and Prof. Mounir Tarek, CNRS-University of Lorraine, Vandoeuvre-les-Nancy, France. This year the symposium is collocated with the 14th International Conference on Grammatical Inference (www.icgi2018.pwr.edu.pl). Several events will be held jointly including a special session "Linguistic modeling in bioinformatics", the poster session, and the conference dinner. Scope The scope of the conference includes but is not limited to: - metabolic network modeling and analysis - prediction of protein and RNA structures - biomolecular sequence analysis - analysis of genetic variations - microarray data analysis - next-generation sequencing data analysis - comparative genomics - genetic networks - phylogenetics - protein-protein and protein-RNA interactions - comparison and evaluation of 3D structures - mass spectrometry data analysis - bioinformatics databases and ontologies - gene classification - systems biology We encourage all participants to submit abstracts showing their current work. Due to time limitations only some abstracts will be selected for presentation as talks during sessions. Other high quality and relevant works can be presented as posters during the poster session. The poster session will be organized jointly with the ICGI conference (www.icgi2018.pwr.edu.pl). All abstracts must be submitted through the registration system. The body of the abstract should not include any identifying information, such as the authors' names or affiliations in order to allow the double-blind review. The authors requesting a talk are encouraged to fully use the limit of 1800 characters in order to provide greater detail on the topic. We are looking forward to seeing you in Wroclaw, The Organizers of PTBi 2018 |
