Call For Papers

Dear colleague,

subjects such as Smart Buildings, Building Automation or openHAB are part of your academic research and you want to discuss your experience with academic peers? In this case we look forward to

-automation of Smart Buildings
-cost-/benefit considerations for Smart Buildings
-Smart Home standards
-Smart Home functions on e.g.
-comfort and convenience,
-energy management,
-security,
-multi-building management,
-projects already implemented in smart buildings
-Smart Home technology used in public buildings
-indoor positioning
-openHAB developments (e.g. new bindings, user-management, rules)

Other topics regarding Smart Home and Smart Public Building are welcome.

This planned conference and workshop will consist of an academic conference (Friday, October 19th, as part of the Smart Public Building Project and the openHAB Foundation Academic Initiative) and workshops related to openHAB (Saturday, October 20th). Two parallel workshops for (a.) users in German and (b.) developers in English are planned. The number of participants in the workshops is limited.

Please send us your abstract by 28.07.2018. The final submission date for your full paper and presentation is 15.09.2018.

-The conference will take place from October 15th – 20th at HFT Stuttgart, Germany
-The conference and workshop language will be English
-The abstract can be submitted as a free formatted text via mail to informationslogistik@hft-stuttgart.de
-We will provide a template format for the paper by the end of July
-The final paper should contain about 5 to 10 DIN A4 pages as a PDF file (pictures and graphics should be embedded in the text)
-Papers will be made available as conference-proceedings online
-Best papers will be awarded
