International MOST Conference Invites Automotive Professionals to Report on Latest and Future Technology Insights and Research Results

The third MOST Forum opens the Call for Speakers: The international MOST conference and exhibition will take place on April 5, 2011, concurrent with the MOST Cooperation’s All Members Meeting. In Frankfurt, Germany, this one-day industry event on automotive infotainment technology will again present the latest and future technologies and applications based on MOST. "The focus of the recent MOST Forum was the OEM's perspective and discussion of the ongoing MOST150 development and production launch," said Dr. Christian Thiel, MOST Cooperation Administrator. "Latest research studies concentrated on two aspects: flexible means of connectivity to the MOST network and the readiness of MOST150 for new applications beyond pure infotainment, proving the technology's compliance to new connectivity interfaces and functionalities."

The Call for Speakers is now open, and anyone interested is invited to submit a proposal for a paper by September 17, 2010. The MOST Forum 2011 will provide an ideal venue to share ideas and experiences, and to discuss the latest news on this de-facto automotive networking standard. The international conference and exhibition will bring together top professionals from the automotive electronics industry and academia to exchange information and results of their recent work on the leading infotainment networking technology. The broad international audience will again include researchers, designers, engineers, system developers, as well as purchasers and journalists, up to managers of the industries involved.

Suggested topics for paper submission include, but are not limited to, the MOST physical layer, MOST networking and system architecture, MOST software and protocols, MOST compliance and quality, MOST applications and series projects experience, MOST and other standards, as well as research and miscellaneous topics such as consumer products in the car. The industry partners SAE International (www.sae.org) and ZVEI (Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association, www.zvei.org), as well as the media partners Auto Electronics (www.autoelectronics.com), EE Times Europe (www.eetimes.eu), Elektronik automotive (www.elektroniknet.de), and ElektronikPraxis (www.elektronikpraxis.de) are contributing their expertise and technological know-how to set up a premier conference program.
