Information Studies (IS4SI) Summit in Berkeley, June 2-6.

The theme of this year’s conference is Where’s the I in AI and the meaning in information? focusing on what AI is, isn’t, could be, and shouldn’t be, as well as considering how AI is related to mental processes produced by brains and to different theories regarding the nature of information.

IS4SI is the world’s leading organization focused on explaining the nature of information itself, a topic too often overlooked by information engineers and scientists. Centered in Europe and Asia, IS4SI is holding its first-ever conference in the US on the UC Berkeley campus June 2-6. We expect 300 researchers, scholars, and executives spanning the many domains of information science, philosophy, engineering and sociology. You don't need to make a presentation to attend.
