C3S2E 2015 :
Eighth International C* Conference on Computer Science & Software Engineering Keio University Yokohama, Japan and On-line on ConfSys July 13-15. 2015 C3S2E 2015 Call for Papers/Participation/Track(Targeted Session) Proposal C3S2E15[*] is the eighth in a series of annual international conferences addressing the needs of the academic community in computing science and software engineering. The objective of C3S2E is to meet annually to exchange ideas on current issues and focus on new challenges from both the theoretical and application aspects of CSE. C3S2E encourages the participation of practitioners from governmental and non-governmental agencies, industry, and academia not only from CSE but also from other disciplines with the potential of collaboration. The meeting offers participants a chance to broaden their insight into the multi-facets of CSE and emerging technologies while exploring R&D ideas in other disciplines as well, where CSE can make meaningful contributions. C3S2E invites quality papers describing original ideas and new findings on applied technological and theoretical aspects of CSE or in other disciplines with potential for applying and extending the CSE horizons. In particular we welcome submissions describing work on integrating new technologies into products and applications, on experiences with existing and novel techniques, and on the identification of unsolved challenges. We consider this meeting to be an unique and important forum to discuss insights into applying and extending all aspects of computing and software engineering methodologies in novel situations. This year C3S2E2015 is co-located with IDEAS2015. Topics The scope of the conference includes the following topics but is not restricted to these areas in computing and software engineering: following are some of the topics typically used by computer scientists to describe their interests. Algorithms Graph theory Applications Human computer interaction Artificial intelligence Image processing Automata theory Information Retrieval Automated reasoning Knowledge base system Bioinformatics Machine learning Compiler theory Machine translation Computability theory Mathematical logic Computational complexity Multimedia Computational linguistic Natural Language Processing Computer architecture Networking Computer graphics Number theory Computer programming Numerical analysis Computer security Operating systems Computer vision Parallel computing Concurrency Programming language Cryptography Quantum computing theory Data Models Reverse engineering Data mining Robotics Data structures Scientific computing Data warehousing Semantic Web Digital library Semi-structured data Distributed computing Software engineering Expert Systems Speech synthesis and recognition Formal methods Super computing Functional Programming Symbolic computation Game theory Web database Track(Targeted Session) Proposal As in the past, C3S3E 2015 will include tracks (targeted session) on current topics of interest to the community. If you and your colleagues would like to include such a track, please contact us ASAP (before Feb 15, 2015). Please include the topics, the track chair and the proposed addition to the program committee to handle the submissions for the track. The submission would be via the C3S2E 2015 pages on ConfSys. Invited Talks A number of invited speakers would round up the final program of C3S2E'15. Conference Venue Taking into account, the increasing cost of registration and travel costs, as well as the CO2 contribution due to the movement of people over large distances, we have decided to experiment with holding this meeting with both a 'real' and a 'on-line' part without sacrificing the quality. Hence, the paper submission and review process would be as in the past. All papers would be reviewed by the program committee. In the past there were over 3.5 reviews paper paper and this practice would be continued. The meeting would be held at the venue as per schedule. However, for those authors whose budget and/or conscience dictate that they not travel, we offer to have their presentation available on line. Such presentations would include audio presentations along with the traditional slides. It must also have full contact information(email, phone number and Skype or similar address). Conference Publication The conference proceedings will be published by ACM. A version of the proceedings to be distributed to the attendees would be prepared BytePress Important Dates All the dates are given on the milestone page on ConfSys dynamic web site for C3S2E (accessible to ConfSys signed up users). In case of discrepancies, the dates on ConfSys dynamic web site are the correct ones. The following are the salient ones: ConfSys user Sign-Up begins: Always on Paper submission begins: 2015-01-01 Track Proposal: 2015-02-15 Paper submission extended deadline: 2015-4-19 Acceptance notice: 2015-06-01 Registration & Camera-ready upload start: 2015-06-01 Registration and Camera-ready copies deadline: 2015-06-29 Presentation Slide upload deadline: 2015-06-01 Conference dates: 2015-07-13 -- 2015-07-15 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note to authors who have issues with travel due to concern regarding carbon dioxide foot print, travel budget restrictions or last minute personal issues: Even though it would be a shame not to be able to meet your colleagues, we would allow the possibility of making your presentation via appropriate pre-recorded media and availability on Firefox hello or skype to interact with those present in Keio University. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please visit the ConfSys (https://confsys.encs.concordia.ca/ConfSys) web sites for further instructions. ConfSys is used to manage all administrative functions of the conference. Organized by Keio University, Yokohama, Japan; Concordia University, Montreal, Canada; with the cooperation of ACM, BytePress.org, Concordia University, ConfSys.org, and Keio University General Chair: Bipin C.
