Call For Papers

Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is a system that incorporates technologies from Information and Communication domain in order to improve safety, mobility and efficiency of the existing transportation system. ITS includes a wide range of applications that collects, process and share information to ease the traffic congestion, improve traffic management, minimize environmental impact, and benefits the society. ITS can be seen as a system where electronic devices or sensors communicates with each other and share the information through both wireless and wired line communication modes i.e. vehicles-to-vehicle communication and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication.
The aim of this special issue is to provide a platform for academicians and researchers from different domains to present their latest research contributions in the field of ITS. The special issue will highlight emerging technologies from different engineering domains to improve the present ITS structure across the world.

We solicit original research, review article and case studies that cover areas including but not limited to:
· Intelligent transportation systems
· Traffic control and management
· Modeling, simulations and optimization
· Travel time prediction
· Route optimization for emergency vehicles
· Traffic safety research
· Traffic safety modeling and analysis
· Machine learning for ITS
· Deep neural networks approach for ITS
· Smart City Applications
· Data collection and storage solutions for ITS

Authors interested in this Special Issue may submit their papers via the Editorial Manager (EM) System (https://www.editorialmanager.com/jtte). When submitting their papers, authors are advised to choose the issue type “SI: Emerging Tech forITS”. The deadline for submission is February 29, 2020. There is no word limit for papers. Review papers and long papers with abundant content are especially welcome. Guide for authors is available at http://www.keaipublishing.com/jtteor http://jtte.chd.edu.cn

All the submissions will go through peer review process before publication. Accepted papers will be published in JTTE as “Open Access” with no Article Processing Charges paid by the authors. Printed copies of the issue will be shipped to authors for free after publication. Early editions of accepted papers will be published online individually at Science Direct before print publication.
