Call For Papers

Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to submit Papers, Invited (Special) Issue proposal to the International Journal of Cloud Applications and Computing (IJCAC). IJCAC focuses on practical applications and the theoretical foundations of Cloud Computing, through presentation of the most up-to-date advances and new directions of research in the field from various scholarly, professional, and practitioner perspectives. An interdisciplinary look at Cloud Computing, including engineering and business aspects, IJCAC covers and encourages high-quality research exposition on such topics as virtualization technology, utility computing, SaaS, and Grid Computing, as well as web services, SOA, Web 2.0, and Services Computing.


Call for Technical Editors:

We courteously invite you as a member in the editorial board f IJCAC. We will continue to strengthen IJCAC as a helpful research source for scholars, researchers and students. Please submit your short bio, photo, background (Educations, Researches), and some information to review via email to Dr. Shadi Aljawarneh "shadi.jawarneh@ipu.edu.jo". We look forward to your constant support and initiative in improving the quality of IJCAC.

Duties of editor in IJCAC:

* Review some papers in your research interests.

Topics to be discussed in this journal include (but are not limited to) the following:


Application:
Cloud based industry applications, such as cloud based search, cloud based e-business and mobile commerce, wireless cloud

Architecture:
Cloud middleware and toolkits
Cloud reference architectures and service models

Business:
Cloud computing economics including ROI, TCO, purchasing models, pricing models of cloud

computing
Scientific, industrial and social implications of cloud computing

Cloud engineering:
Cloud programming models, such as MapReduce/e.g., Hadoop, coordination for distributed computing/e.g., ZooKeeper, Web scale NOSQL database/e.g., Cassandra

Practice of using open source cloud computing technologies
Method, model, and process for creating and deploying virtual images, defining the

patterns and parts for application middleware and applications
Technologies to support high availability, scalability, and caching to enhance runtime in cloud platform

Green:
Technologies for green data centers (e.g., algorithms and technologies that could help save power in data centers)

Management and optimization:
Cloud service management
Monitoring and automatic scaling of cloud computing resources
Optimization, dynamic sharing and provisioning of virtual resources such as virtual machines, virtual storage, and VLAN
Standards:
Cloud computing standards (such as those derived from OVF,)
Interoperability among format of different virtual machines (e.g., VMware, Xen, KVM)
Technologies and services:
Architecting cloud computing with enabling technologies, such as Web services and semantic Web
IaaS technologies, especially virtual technologies and their application in dynamic resource provisioning
Key characteristics of cloud programming, such as agility, cost, device and location independence, reliability, security, sustainability, scalability, and maintenance
Open API and service orchestration on cloud platform
Other cloud services (connectivity services, and persistence services, including NOSQL technologies)
PaaS technologies, especially cloud platform management technologies including fast provisioning of complex topologies
SaaS technologies (such as multi-tenancy, management of applications and tenants in multi-tenant environment)
Theoretical model of cloud computing
Workload characters and performance evaluation and modeling of cloud computing.

Submission

Prospective authors should note that only original and previously unpublished articles will be considered. Interested authors must consult the journal’s guidelines for manuscript submissions at http://www.igi-global.com/Files/AuthorEditor/guidelinessubmission.pdf prior to submission. All article submissions will be forwarded to at least 3 members of the Editorial Review Board of the journal for double-blind, peer review. Final decision regarding acceptance/revision/rejection will be based on the reviews received from the reviewers.
