Software-intensive Systems-of-Systems (SiSoS) Track

Due to multiple requests the submission deadlines are extended: September 29, 2019: Submission of regular papers November 24, 2019: Notification of paper acceptance/rejection December 9, 2019: Camera-ready copies of accepted papers March 30 -April 3, 2020: Conference === SCOPE === Pervasiveness of networks has made possible to interconnect systems that were independently developed, operated, managed, and evolved, yielding a new kind of complex system, i.e. a system that is itself composed of systems, the so-called System-of-Systems (SoS). Software-intensive SoS (SiSoS) has become a hotspot in the last years, from both the research and industry viewpoints. Indeed, various aspects of our lives and livelihoods have progressively become dependent on some sort of Software-intensive SoS. This is the case of SiSoS found in different areas as diverse as energy, healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation; and applications that address societal needs, e.g. environmental monitoring, distributed energy grids, emergency coordination, global traffic control, and smart cities. Moreover, ubiquitous platforms such as the Internet of Things and nascent kinds such as Cyber-Physical SoSs are accelerating the deployment of Software-intensive SoS in the near future. Submissions can be thereby of maximum 10 pages in ACM camera-ready format. Regular papers will be subjected to a double-blind review process. The name(s) and address(es) of the author(s) must NOT appear in the body of the paper, and self-reference should be in the third person. Only the title should be shown on the first page without the authors' information. Each submitted paper will be reviewed by at least 3 reviewers. Regular papers must be submitted at: https://www.sigapp.org/sac/sac2020/submission.html - Posters: Submitted papers that received good reviews but were not accepted as regular papers due to space limitation can be invited for the poster session. The length of a poster category paper is 3 pages (included in the registration) plus up to 1 page (at extra charge). Posters can be of maximum 4 pages in ACM camera-ready format. - Student Research Competition (SRC) Program (for PhD Students): In addition to regular papers and posters, a special event for PhD students will be organized: The Student Research Competition (SRC) Program. Graduate students are invited to submit research abstracts (maximum of 4 pages in ACM camera-ready format) at: https://www.sigapp.org/sac/sac2020/submission_src.html (note that submission sites for regular papers and SRC papers are different) Further details on paper format, template, and submission guidelines can be found on the SAC 2020 website: https://www.sigapp.org/sac/sac2020/ For preparing submissions, document templates can be found at: https://www.sigapp.org/sac/sac2020/authorkit.html === REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT === For accepted papers and posters, registration is required, allowing the inclusion of the paper or poster in the conference proceedings. An author or a proxy attending SAC MUST present the paper. This is a requirement for the paper or poster to be included in the ACM digital library. No-show of registered papers or posters will result in excluding them from the ACM digital library. === JOURNAL SPECIAL ISSUES === All accepted papers to this SiSoS track of ACM SAC will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers to a special issue of a top-level journal.
