Call For Papers

Join the Wireless Innovation Forum at our 8 th annual WInnComm - Europe, taking place 15-16 May, at Fraunhofer in Berlin, Germany. This year’s summit will include two main topic areas listed below (presentation only, paper optional with no peer review). Presentation proposals are due 18 January 2019.

Tracks include:

Technical, Business and Regulatory Innovation
Every two years, the Forum publishes the Top 10 Most Wanted Wireless Innovations as identified by the users and equipment manufacturers. In this track, we invite you to present the results of your R&D addressing one or more of these proposed Innovations for the document revision currently underway.

Topics include:
Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning for Radios
Dynamic Spectrum Management
Propagation Prediction Techniques for Dynamic Spectrum Sharing
Flexible, Extensible, and Secure Transportation Communication Framework
Advanced, Cost-Effective Interference Mitigation Techniques
Receiver Performance Interference Thresholds
Low Cost Wide Spectral Range RF Front-End (Multi-decade; Contiguous) (Tx, Rx)
Efficient Techniques to Minimize Power Amplifier Spectral Regrowth in Non-contiguous Spectral Environment
Network Management of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks
Integrated Development and Debug Process for Software-Based Applications in Embedded Heterogeneous Platforms

The current Top Ten Most Wanted Wireless Innovations can be found here: https://www.wirelessinnovation.org/winnforum-top-ten-most-wanted-wireless-innovations)

Military Communications Systems
Military communications systems are quite complex and must operate under very constrained environments. In this track, we invite you to present on topics related to improving the design of those systems, to facilitate coalition interoperability, to make better use of commercial technology, to improve spectrum efficiency and ad-hoc networking.

In addition, as most of the military systems are now software based, techniques to facilitate convergence of technologies between the wide variety of embedded systems such as C4ISR, EW, and Radar are also of interest.

In this track, we invite you to present on topics related to:

Multinational Tactical Radio Programs
National Tactical Radio Programs
Advanced topics in Military Waveforms and Networking
Spectrum Management and Sharing in the Military Domain
Electronic Warfare Technologies
Open Systems Architectures

Proposals for presentations from national research and development programs across Europe are especially welcome.

Submission Guidelines
Proposals for each track must include an abstract (extended abstracts are also accepted if you prefer), the author information, the topic area, and sufficient information to validate the quality and technical depth of the proposal. Presentations will be 20-25 minutes in duration, including questions.
Summit proceedings containing all presentation materials and any associated papers will be made available to attendees and published online for future reference.
