Middlesex University Dubai is proud to announce the Sixth Emerging Research Paradigms in Business and Social Sciences (ERPBSS) conference. The international conference will be held from 24th to 26th February, 2022 at Middlesex University Dubai Campus in Knowledge Park, Dubai. ERPBSS 2022 will be a virtual conference.

Over the last 11 years, our biennial conference, one of the highlights of the University’s calendar, has attracted hundreds of delegates from leading institutions in the UAE and more than fifty countries globally. The interdisciplinary conference provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to communicate their findings, spread awareness regarding new advancement, and engage in meaningful discourse with professionals from different fields, and foster local and international collaborations.

ERPBSS-2022 Conference Theme – ‘Towards a Resilient Future’
The theme of the 6th ERPBSS multidisciplinary conference is ‘resilience’ - the ability to recover from setbacks, adapt well to change, and keep going in the face of adversity. As the world emerges from the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic, we shouldn’t lose sight of the ‘resilience’ lessons we have learned and build on it to be better prepared and confront future uncertainties such as climate change or geopolitical risks. However, this requires a systemic, whole-of-society approach to resilience. The pandemic showed how interdependent we are, and how much we depend on the support of each other and the community we live in to adapt, rebound, and endure. The pandemic provided several opportunities for researchers to study the resilience of the society and its systemic interactions at various levels given that the wellsprings of resilience are equally applicable to individuals, organizations, communities, and countries. The ERPBSS 2022 conference provides a global platform for researchers and practitioners from different disciplines for sharing impactful and use-inspired research on a range of topics including the lessons learned from the pandemic and ideas shaping the post-pandemic world.

General Track
The conference hopes to engage participants from multiple disciplines on a range of emerging topics that engage with conference themes and sub-themes.

In addition to the general track, the conference invites submission to the following ‘special tracks’.

Student Research Track
Middlesex University Dubai has a vibrant student research culture, and we are pleased to announce the inclusion of a Student Research track at the 6th ERPBSS2022 conference. This conference will provide a platform for undergraduate and graduate student researchers from around the world to showcase their research findings (either in person or virtual) to an international academic audience.
