The Free Software Research Group (GISOL) of the Free Software Center (CESOL) of the University of Informatics Sciences, the National I+D+i Project "Continuous development and adoption of the Nova operating system" of the "National Program of Telecommunications and Informatization of the Cuban Society", together with the Linux Professional Institute (LPI), invite the X International Workshop on Free Software and Emerging Technologies (SWL 2023), which will be a space for technical scientific exchange on experiences and research in terms of development, migration and use of free and open source software technologies, the contribution of communities and emerging technologies in this field. This is one of the workshops of the International Symposium on Digital Transformation, to be held within the framework of the V International Scientific Convention UCIENCIA 2023, from September 27 to 29, 2023, at the Varadero beach, Cuba.

THEMES
• Adoption of free software and open source technologies.
• Construction / customization of Operating Systems based on open sources.
• Economic, legal and social aspects of free software.
• Free software technologies.
• Android and free mobile operating systems.
• Emerging technologies associated with free software and/or open hardware (Blockchain, Cloud Computing, Open Source Robotics-Home Automation, Internet of Things, Disruptive Technologies).
• Work experiences of the Free Software Communities.

The accepted papers will be published in the Convention's memories, under the Ediciones Futuro seal with the corresponding ISBN record.
