Call for papers:
37th International ECMS Conference on Modelling and Simulation (ECMS 2023) collocating with ASMTA – EPEW – PASM 2023 Florence, Italy, June 20th – June 23rd, 2023 Join the leading scientific forum for European simulation experts The International European Conference on Modelling and Simulation (ECMS) is the annual conference of the European Council for Modelling and Simulation, an independent forum of European academics and practitioners dedicated to research, development, and applications of modelling and simulation. ECMS 2023 is hosted by the University of Florence, Italy and is happy to announce its collocation with this year’s ASMTA EPEW PASM conferences. Theme: The human capacity to abstract complex systems and phenomena into simplified models has played a critical role in the rapid evolution of our modern industrial processes and scientific research. As a science and an art, Modelling and Simulation have been one of the core enablers of this remarkable human trace, and have become a topic of great importance for researchers and practitioners. The increasing availability of massive computational resources and interconnectivity has helped fuel tremendous advances in the field, collapsing previous barriers and redefining new horizons for its capabilities and applications. Call for contributions: The International European Conference on Modelling and Simulation is ranked B in CORE ranking and is dedicated to help define the state of the art in different fields involved in creating, defining, and building innovative simulation systems, simulation and modelling tools and techniques, and novel applications for modelling and simulation. Prospective authors are invited to submit high-quality papers representing original results in all related areas of modelling and simulation. Published papers will be sent for indexation to DBLP, SCOPUS, ISI, INSPEC and DOI. High quality selected papers will be considered for publication in a focused issue with some international journals. An author of each accepted paper must register and present the paper at the conference. Detailed instructions for submission are available on the conference website. Best paper awards: All submitted papers will be evaluated for the Best Conference Paper Award and Best Student Paper Award. Local attractions: Florence is a city in Central Italy and the capital city of the Tuscany region. It was a centre of medieval European trade and finance and one of the wealthiest cities of that era. It is considered by many academics to have been the birthplace of the Renaissance, becoming a major artistic, cultural, commercial, political, economic and financial center. UNESCO declared the Historic Centre of Florence a World Heritage Site in 1982. Forbes ranked it as the most beautiful city in the world in 2010. Detailed information could be found in the following website: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florence The conference – at this moment – will include the following tracks: (more topics to be announced soon) - Business Process Modelling and Simulation for Industrial Operations - Finance, Economics and Social Science - Simulation and Optimization - Finite Discrete Elements Simulation - Open and Collaborative Models and Simulation Methods - Resilient and Sustainable Supply Chain Modelling and Simulation - Logistics, Transportation and Manufacturing Applications - Special Students’ Track on Modeling, Simulation and Visualization - Modelling and Simulation for Performance Evaluation of Computer-based Systems (MaSPECS) with Data Intensive Systems Sub-Track ECMS is planning to include as well topics like: - Environment and Sustainability Applications - Gaming and Participatory Methods - Agent-Based Simulation - Hybrid Simulation - Complex, Intelligent, Adaptive and Autonomous Systems - Data Science for Simulation - Industry Case Studies / Commercial Case Studies - Modeling Methodology - Cyber-Physical Systems and Digital Twins IMPORTANT DATES: Submission of Full-Length Papers (7 -10 pages): 27th February 2023 Notification of Paper Acceptance: 27th March 2023 Submission of camera ready Paper and payment: 26th April 2023 Conference dates in Florence: 20th June – June 23rd, 2023 Information about fees, tracks, author kit and more: Please visit: http://www.scs-europe.net/conf/ecms2023/ For any question you might have, please email to Martina-Maria Seidel: ecms@scs-europe.net Conference Chairs: - Enrico Vicario, Department of Information Engineering, University of Florence - Romeo Bandinelli, Department of Information Engineering, University of Florence Program Chairs: - Virginia Fani, Department of Information Engineering, University of Florence - Michele Mastroianni, department of Computer Science, University of Salerno |
