About the conference:
The cycle of conferences devoted to contemporary economic problems is the result of a long-lasting cooperation between the Department of Economics of the University of Economics in Katowice (host of this year’s conference), the Department of Economic Policy and European Regional Studies of the Wrocław University of Economics and Business and the Department of Economic Policy and Regional Studies of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. The theme of this year’s conference pertains to the phenomenon of uncertainty and includes issues such as:
• endo- and exogenous sources of uncertainty (economic, epidemiological, geopolitical, climate issues etc.)
• the impact of uncertainty on economic processes at microeconomic, sectoral macroeconomic and global levels
• uncertainty and the functioning of markets (labor, financial, resource markets etc.)
• ways of dealing with uncertainty
• formulating economic policy under uncertainty
• measuring the unmeasurable, persistence of uncertainty, sentiment analysis

Organizational information:
The conference will be held in a hybrid form (online and in-person sessions) at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Economics in Katowice and on the Google Meet platform. Sessions will be held in Polish and English. The organizers reserve the right to change the form of the conference into an online conference. The decision will be communicated to the participants by April 22, 2023. We do not offer any publication opportunities. Participants will receive a certificate of participation in the conference.

Forms of participation in the conference:
– Participation with a presentation (in person: 250 PLN, online: free of charge)
– Poster in an electronic form (ppt/pdf file up to 6 slides) (online only: free of charge)
– Participation without a presentation (in person: 200 PLN, online: free of charge)
