Special emphasis will be put on the transference of methods between both domains. The themes this year are (a) quantum computing and software engineering & knowledge engineering, and (b) SEKE education. New Special Theme on SEKE Education: The new theme on SEKE education can be interpreted more narrowly as how to teach software engineering and knowledge engineering courses more effectively during the time of the pandemic. It can also be interpreted it more broadly as how to teach ANY course more effectively using software engineering and knowledge engineering ways of thinking, methodology and techniques/tools. Papers are invited on SEKE education to deal with philosophical, methodological and instructional and tools, including innovative solutions and experimental results. Special Issue of IJSEKE journal: Best ranked papers from the conference will be selected for a super-sized special issue of the International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering (IJSEKE) to be published in July/August 2025 for early dissemination. Special Sessions: Special Session proposals are welcome. The deadline is July 1, 2024. Each special session may lead to a special issue in IJSEKE. Co-Located Conference: The International DMS Conference on Visualization and Visual Languages DMSVIVA24 (ksiresearch.org/seke/dmsviva24.html) will be held at the same hotel from October 26 to28, 2024 and as a virtual conference from October 24 to 25, 2024.
