The main objective of this CEE Forum is to provide a discussion platform for BPM academics from Central and Eastern Europe to disseminate their research, compare results and share experiences. This second-time proposed CEE Forum is an opportunity for both novice and advanced BPM researchers who have not yet had the chance to attend the International Business Process Management Conference to get to know each other, initiate research projects and join the international BPM community. BPM research in the context of CEE countries and opens up endless opportunities for the development of both the theory and practice of BPM. BPM applications in CEE countries can face numerous unique challenges from differences in national culture and business processes resulting from their respective business environment, legal regulation, differences in digital literacy, and more. Organizations from CEE economies sometimes follow practices and models conceived and tested in highly developed countries, but are also obliged to use their own experience and understanding of their local business environment. In this area, research on BPM is still needed to better document, implement and improve operational business processes in the context of an organization and environment, its culture and country. A better understanding of BPM in the CEE region would enable practitioners to avoid the issues faced by these countries in the process of BPM adoption and be a valuable contribution to the field of BPM. Therefore, the CEE Forum invites academics researching BPM in CEE to submit their work in the anticipation that it will ignite discussion and collaboration aimed at the development of BPM theories and practices focused on issues important to CEE countries. The CEE Forum is open to all methodological approaches and contributions. We invite to participate in CEE Forum in topics that may relate (but do not exhaust) to the following areas of discussion: - BPM in the context of country, national and organizational culture - BPM in the context of transition economy - BPM in the context of international collaboration - BPM in the context of inter-organizational collaboration - BPM in the private-versus-public sector debate - BPM in the context of digital transformation - BPM for digital innovation - BPM and ICT relationships - BPM for increased efficiency and performance == How to contribute and participate == If you are interested in presenting at the BPM CEE Forum, please submit your originally research paper.
