ICAFEE 2019 will be held at Feng Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan. This conference mainly focuses on waste to energy conversion technologies, alternative (bio)fuels, bioenergy and the production of value-added platform chemicals. We hope that the scientific program will be useful and informative to all the participants. We welcome high-quality submissions that could contribute to different thematic, yet promising areas of applied and fundamental research. Anew, an interactive scientific writing and skill development workshop will be conducted for MS and PhD researchers attending ICAFEE 2019. This workshop will be facilitated by Eldon R. Rene from the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education (The Netherlands). The workshop is designed in such a way to provide a high-level training of key writing/re-writing, data interpretation, peer-reviewing and other soft skills required for publishing articles in SCI journals.

Topics covered: (1) Development of new alternative fuels and biofuels processing technologies, (2) Novel feedstocks and pathways for biofuel production, (3) New developments in microalgae for biofuels production, (4) Improved physical and chemical properties of alternative fuels, (5) Engine performance and emissions of alternative fuels, (6) Development of bioreactors for waste to energy conversion technologies, (7) Application of nano-catalysts and biochar for enhanced biofuel production, and (8) Socioeconomic and environmental impacts of alternative fuels.
