Confronting Distance through Art and Design / Date: 27 September 2022 / Venue: Online via Zoom

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed people's notions of distance. Physical distance, as in "social distance," is more clearly recognized than ever before. On the other hand, we can observe that the use of online platforms has reduced mental distance as well. In 2022, the world is facing a period of further confusion. In this session, we will explore the role art can play in terms of the distance between people through thinking, making, and writing.

At TGSW2022, we will organize online international sessions including a keynote speech and oral presentations. A session of student-delivered lightning talks will also be held. We are calling for papers on topics specifically related to the session theme, but broader topics related to the subject of Art and Design are also welcome. Abstracts will all be reviewed by the Review Committee comprising our faculty and external reviewers/scholars from industries, governmental organizations, and other academic fields.

[For Oral Presentation]
- These are conventional papers that discuss research relating to the symposium theme. Each Presenter has 10 minutes for presentation and 4 minutes for Q&A
