Call for Papers

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 5th Mexican Workshop on Fractional Calculus (5th MWFC), it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in this bi-annual international workshop, the largest Latin American technical event in the field of fractional calculus. MWFC motivates brainstorming and critical discussing of ideas about abstract operators and their applications in a colorful palette of practical areas.

This event offers an ideal forum for intellectuals and curious persons from México and all over the world to present their latest research insights on the following topics:

5th MWFC will be held in Monterrey, México, one of the most influential cities in México. Its industrial and technological development make it a metropolis with an extraordinary quality of life, fascinating culture, mouthwatering gastronomy, and amusing entertainment. It has a privileged climate throughout the year and a terrific 360º view always surrounded by majestic mountains. Its mostly warm weather is just a pretext to refresh yourself with a cold drink while enjoying delicious roast meat, without mentioning the “cabrito,” “chicharrón,” and other appetizing dishes. Monterrey is blessed with rich historical, cultural, and natural attractions, such as “Parque Fundidora”, “Paseo Santa Lucía”, “El Cerro de la Silla”, “La Huasteca” Canyon, “Las Grutas de García”, to mention a few. Furthermore, Monterrey is home to the Tecnológico de Monterrey (TEC), one of the most prestigious institutions in México and Latin America and where MWFC will be hosted in a hybrid format (presential and virtual).

Notification of acceptance: September 15th-20th, 2022
Registration deadline: October 1st, 2022 (11:59 PM AoE)
Conference dates: October 5th-7th, 2022

Submission information

We invite the authors to make all submissions via the Submission page by the deadline dates specified above. All submitted papers will undergo a double peer-review process.

After the review process, the accepted manuscripts will be presented in the general session of Accepted Talks, providing a critical and formal discussion space to exchange ideas and contribute to the fractional calculus field. The number of selected manuscripts for oral presentation will be restricted to the host institution’s space availability and contingency policies. Nevertheless, and not least relevant, a poster session will be available for continuing our discussions and forging future collaborations with our colleagues.

Once the 5th MWFC concludes, we continue preparing the conference proceedings in MDPI’s Computer Sciences & Mathematics Forum for all the accepted papers.
