On March 24, 2022, we were saddened by the loss of
Paul de Faget de Casteljau, one of the most prominent
founding members of Computer Aided Geometric
Design and pioneer of modern applied geometry in
industry. With this special issue we take the opportunity
to celebrate his contributions and to reflect on the
impact of his research to the field.

This special issue seeks high-quality research, survey,
theory, and application submissions. Papers must be
original contributions, not previously published or
currently under review in other journals. Submissions
based on previous published or submitted conference
papers may be considered provided they are
considerably improved and extended.

All kind of submissions (including domains from
outside CAGD) from historical aspects to novel research
ideas and from surveys to application results are
welcome. The list of suggested topics includes, but is
not limited to:

* Curves
* Surfaces
* History of CAGD
* Geometry Processing
* Shape Design
* Discrete Geometry
* Computer Graphics
