Title: Cloud of Things: Foundations, Applications, and Challenges (The book will be published under CRC Press Publisher, Taylor & Francis Group) About the Book: Cloud computing and the Internet of Things are two major popular and emerging technologies in the current scenario. The modern world is all about data and intelligent solutions. These two technologies interplay to support future technological advances in applications such as smart homes, smart cities, intelligent transportation, disaster management, precision agriculture, and healthcare. Cloud computing and IoT provide a significant number of benefits to users. However, these technologies also suffer from several challenges, including security and privacy, portability, interoperability, reliability, availability, carbon footprints, etc. Furthermore, the applications that use both computing paradigms face challenges, such as energy efficiency, resource allocations, service discovery, security and privacy, communication, heterogeneity, performance, cost, big data, etc. This book focuses on intelligent solutions to address such challenges and discusses fundamentals, applications and research challenges in integrating two computing technologies.
