Multicore and Parallel Computing are here to stay and we should be grateful for that. Computation is better, faster, cheaper and much more power efficient than in the single core days: it also allow us to think on applications and developments that were not possible before, therefore the potential is practically unlimited. Yes, we need to deal with decades and millions of lines of legacy code; we need to build software to exploit the huge opportunities that these new architectures offer but at Multicore World we will show you that it is not that difficult, simply different. We will present you today what you can start using today. Multicore World 2013 goes to great lengths to find the best in the field of software and hardware development and bring them all to New Zealand to give you a cut through the current state of the multicore world -involving Industry (Vendors/Business), Academia (Scientists/Researchers), Software Communities (Developers/Engineers) and other organisations (Government/Education) Call for Papers and Presentations We invite submissions in all areas of Multicore and Parallel Computing, including (but not limited to): * Latest in-production technologies * Parallel programming optimised languages * Specific code and technical developments * Parallel applications to existent and new industry areas in specific verticals (e.g. oil & gas, games & entertainment, genetics & life sciences, banking & financial modeling, weather prediction, telecommunications & social networks, Big Data and massive scalability, etc.) * Heterogeneous computing, adaptive and reconfigurable computing * Cluster, Grid and Cloud Computing * Business, Management and Productivity changes due to Multicore Technologies We strongly encourage young developers and researchers to submit their work -even if it is in progress, to benefit from the presence at Multicore World 2013 of the best technologists globally. |
