CALL FOR DEMOS & POSTERS
6th Conference on Blockchain Research & Applications for Innovative Networks and Services BRAINS 2024 https://brains.dnac.org/2024/ October 08 - 11, 2024 Berlin, Germany (In-person conference) BRAINS 2024 is technically co-sponsored by IEEE and IEEE ComSoc All accepted and presented papers will be submitted to publication in IEEE Xplore. The best technical papers presented at the conference will be invited to submit an extended version for fast-track review in the ACM DLT journal (Distributed Ledger Technologies: Research and Practice **********Submission: deadline September 2, 2024************* Web3, Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) have the potential to disrupt any domain involving coordination among autonomous resources. This includes finance and payments (e.g., fintech), but also networks (e.g., power grids or telecom networks), computing (e.g., brokering of edge resources), IoT (e.g., supply chain, V2X or industry 4.0) or service platforms (e.g., identity management). BRAINS conference is dedicated to these advances that could make the world of networks and services more secure while enabling new distributed business models BRAINS 2024 invites submissions for demonstration sessions (demos) aimed at showcasing research prototypes, tooling, simulations, and (decentralized) applications. Demo sessions serve as an excellent platform for both academic and industry researchers to present their innovative prototypes, elucidate inventive solutions, and engage in broader discussions. In addition to demos, BRAINS will feature a poster session. For this, we invite Poster paper submissions describing late-breaking or work-in-progress results relating to all areas of Blockchain. The poster session provides a chance for in-depth discussions with other conference attendees and is, therefore, especially well-suited to obtain feedback on ongoing research or controversial ideas. As a prestigious forum for blockchain researchers and engineers, BRAINS 2024 provides a distinctive opportunity to exhibit applications, interact with a highly proficient audience, and deliberate on emerging technologies and recent research prototypes with leading experts. We encourage demo presentations related to any of the technical areas outlined in the conference’s Call for Papers (CfP) including topics around: * Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) * Decentralized Apps (DApps), Smart Contracts, and Chain Code * Applications and Service Cases for DLT and DApps Submission Guidelines for Demos/Posters Prospective contributors should submit a demo/poster proposal in the form of a 3-pages paper following the IEEE conference double-column format, preferably including an illustration of the demo system architecture. Demo papers will undergo peer review, and accepted papers will be included in the IEEE Xplore digital proceedings. Demo/Poster proposals should be submitted as a single PDF file, not exceeding three pages, including references and figures. All submissions must be made through EDAS via the following links. Demo papers: https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=32188&track=123425 Poster papers: https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=32188&track=123427 Only PDF files will be considered for the review process. The content of the accepted demo/poster papers will be demonstrated through a physical demonstration during the conference. The demonstration can be accompanied by a poster. At least one author of each accepted demo proposal must register for BRAINS 2024 at the full conference rate and present their demo at the scheduled session. Important Dates * Demo/Poster Submission: September 2, 2024 * Demo/Poster Acceptance Notification: September 9, 2024 * Camera-Ready Demo/Poster Submission: September 16, 2024 The best demo award will be presented at the BRAINS 2024 closing ceremony.
