Call For Papers

Focus:
There are national initiatives to increase the diversities of the workforce in field of sciences (including engineering and math), by providing funding and support to attract and retain minorities. Specifically, research and practice related to underrepresented groups of learners in scientific disciplines can inform K-12 and university practitioners about how to create instructional strategies with appropriate learning technologies. This issue is seeking articles that examine the use of learning technologies in these fields with a focus on student use of technologies as opposed to instructor use. Examples of relevant topics might include but are not limited to:

* student use of technologies to support completion and/or presentation of work/assignments;
* interaction with technology-based learning objects, modules, or programs;
* simulations and games embedded in the learning activities;
* cognitive and/or attitudinal outcomes.

Who May Submit:
Submissions are welcome from teachers, professors, librarians, trainers, administrators, and graduate students (co-authored with professor) who actively use multimedia for instructional or research purposes, or who are in the process of adopting it. Please identify your submission with keyword: TECHNOLOGY-10

Submission deadline:
any time until the end of November 2010; see details for other deadline options like early, regular, and short.
