Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
Following the three previous issues of the DCE workshop in Paris, Berlin, Vienna and the 2013 HiPEAC thematic session on dynamic compilation in Paris, we are pleased to invite you to submit a paper to the fourth issue of DCE.
Topics : Dynamic compilation is not anymore a technique restricted to applications executing on general purpose processors, but even in embedded systems uses of dynamic compilation approaches have become increasingly viable. Portability and support for languages with isolation concerns are the main drivers of this development, where native code is only generated at run-time, but other drivers have been emerging as well, triggered by the dynamic nature of todays increasingly virtualized computing environments. The aim of the workshop is to review the current research landscape, present new and emerging dynamic compilation approaches and their applications, and to scout for new developments in this exciting field. The proceeding will be published on ACM web site in electronic version with an ISBN number. Keywords : Performance, power constraints, time constraints, thermal constraints, improved reliability, security, IP protection, cross-layer optimization, virtualization, high performance computing, JAVA, Javascript, DBT, emulation, Just-In-Time (JIT) compilation, runtime execution environment, dynamic optimization, etc. Objectives : • Gather multiple communities : where dynamic compilation is in use • Show the wide usage range : pick a keyword in the list & show how you use dynamic compilation in this context |
