The MDAI conference is ranked as a CORE B conference, and publishes its proceedings in the LNAI/LNCS series from Springer. Extended versions of best papers will be published in a special issue of International Journal of Intelligent Systems. ---------------------------------------------------------- 8th Int. Conference on http://www.mdai.cat/mdai2011 Modeling Decisions for Artificial Intelligence (MDAI 2011) Changsha, Hunan, China July 28-30, 2011 Aims and goals The aim of the MDAI conference series is to provide a forum for researchers to discuss models for decision and information fusion (aggregation operators) and their applications to AI. In MDAI 2011, we encourage the submission of papers on decision making, information fusion, social networks, data mining, and related topics. Applications to privacy technologies as well as real world problems. MDAI 2011 is the 8th MDAI conference. Previous conferences were celebrated in Barcelona, Tsukuba, Tarragona, Kitakyushu, Sabadell, Awaji Island, and Perpignan. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: A) Methods and Tools: • Information fusion • Aggregation operators • Utility and decision theory • Model and operator selection • Learning methods for parameter determination • Machine learning and statistical learning • Soft computing • Optimization methods in AI and decision modeling • Distributed Computing • Cloud computing B) Applications: • Information privacy and security • Multiagent systems • Social networks • Data mining • Autonomous robots • Entertainment computing • Subjective evaluation • Bioinformatics • Information access • Economic and management sciences Publication Original technical contributions are sought. Contributions will be selected on the basis of their quality. Papers should not exceed 12 pages in total (using LNCS/LNAI style). Proceedings with accepted papers are intended to be published in the LNAI/LNCS series (Springer-Verlag) and distributed at the conference, as done in previous conferences. See LNAI volumes 3131, 3558, 3885, 4617, 5285, 5861, 6408. Besides, papers, that according to the evaluation of the referees, are not suitable for the LNAI but that have some merits will be published in a CD-ROM proceedings (with ISBN) and scheduled in the MDAI program. A selection of the best papers will be published in a special issue in the International Journal of Intelligent Systems (JCR indexed). Submission Only electronic submission is accepted. Papers should be sent as an attached PDF file to mdai@mdai.cat File names should follow this scheme: surname.pdf (multiple author papers should be: surname1.surname2.pdf). The subject of the message should contain the text MDAI paper submission.
