Over the past decade, shared reading aloud has attracted increasing scientific attention internationally. Numerous studies show that systematic collective reading practices produce significant linguistic, cognitive, and socio-emotional benefits, while supporting educational equity and community building.

The III International Scientific Conference “Shared Reading Aloud” welcomes theoretical and empirical research contributions addressing reading and shared reading aloud across diverse educational, cultural, social, healthcare, and organizational contexts.

We cordially invite senior researchers, scholars, and faculty members to submit proposals.

Relevant Topics Include:
- Effects of reading aloud in schools and educational systems.
- Shared reading aloud in healthcare, clinical, social, or community settings (Bibliotherapy).
- Dialogic approaches and person-centred literature teaching.
- Reading aloud, educational equity, and social inclusion.
- Reading as a transformative experience, well-being, and social cognition.
- Developments in children’s, adolescent, and young adult (YA) literature.
- Research on readers, reading habits, and collective reading experiences.

Submission Guidelines:
- Format: Long abstracts between 2,000 and 4,000 characters (including spaces).
- Language Policy: Abstracts must be submitted in English, paired with a second version in either Italian, French, or Spanish. Conference presentations will accept all four languages.
- Review: Double-blind peer review.

Important Dates:
- Abstract Submission Deadline: July 10, 2026
- Notification of Acceptance: By the end of July 2026
- Full Paper Submission (15,000–20,000 characters): September 30, 2026
