CALL FOR PAPERS
AIdeas, AI-MAS Winter Olympics 2011 ================================================ http://www.aiolympics.ro/aideas/ FACULTY OF AUTOMATIC CONTROL AND COMPUTERS University "Politehnica" of Bucharest, Romania February 19th, 2011 AIdeas is part of AI-MAS Winter Olympics, an event dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, organized by the AI-MAS (Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent Systems) Research Laboratory, Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers, University Politehnica of Bucharest. AIdeas invites researchers to submit papers presenting their most innovative projects on topics related to Artificial Intelligence. Although dedicated to young scientists including junior faculty, graduate and Ph.D students, AIdeas also welcomes papers on any aspect of Artificial Intelligence from senior professors and scientists. AIdeas is aiming to offer AI researchers, practitioners, scientists and engineers in related disciplines an opportunity to share their ideas, and receive valuable feedback from each other and from an experienced advisory board. Proposals for AIdeas are being accepted until Janurary 22, 2011. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following topics: Affective Computing Agents and multiagent systems Constraint satisfaction and search Computer vision Game playing and serious games Information retrieval Knowledge acquisition and ontologies Knowledge representation and reasoning Machine learning and data mining Natural language processing Neural Networks Planning and scheduling Robotics Swarm Intelligence A paper of 4 to 8 pages, formatted according to IEEE Conference Proceedings style, should be submitted using the EasyChair Conference System: https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=aideas11 before the deadline indicated below. New users of EasyChair are required to register for a new account in order to submit their papers through the submission site. Each accepted paper should be presented by at least one of the authors, on February 19, 2011. Awards: the author or authors of the best AIdea will be awarded a grant of up to 1.000€ for covering their expenses of participating to an international conference with the awarded research. AIdeas will be hosted by the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers of UPB, one of the most important centers for education and research in the IT area, in Romania. The second edition of AI-MAS Winter Olympics is organized by the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent Systems (AI-MAS), within the Department of Computer Science. You are invited to participate not only to AIdeas but also to other sections of AI-MAS Winter Olympics and social events. Both AI-MAS Winter Olympics and AIdeas require no registration fees.
