Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
Over the past decade, Open-source Software for Scientific Computation (OSSC) has entered a fast growing stage for both industrial and educational purposes. In apart from a variety of the general-purpose platforms on scientific computing software, more and more open-source toolboxes or toolkits are available on the web for the specific scientific computations.
2011 International Workshop on Open-source Software for Scientific Computation will be held in August 5-7, 2011, in Beijing, China. The aim of OSSC 11 is to provide an international forum of exchanging the knowledge of using open-source software for scientific computation within the communities from education, academics, to industries. We expect contribution papers focusing on the development and applications of open-source software for scientific computation. Authors are invited to submit papers on a variety of OSSC topics, including but not limited to: Architectures and implementation for OSSC development Open-source toolbox/toolkit for research or education purpose Mathematical modeling and numerical simulation in OSSC Computational science and engineering in OSSC Techniques and processes of OSSC projects OSSC education and training Innovation and issues in OSSC Open-source software in cloud computing Embedded open source software Please note that all the papers must describe tools that are publicly available under a free software or open source license because the workshop theme is OSSC. Note: All accepted papers of OSSC 2009 had been published by IEEE Press, which were cited by EI. |
