The Institute of Communications Engineering, University of Hannover, is proud to announce the 5th Workshop on Positioning, Navigation and Communication 2008 (WPNC'08), which will take place at the Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany, March 27, 2008.
Scope Mobile position-aware systems, combined with modern wireless technologies, are getting more and more important. When developing systems of this kind, problems in various fields of information and communication technology need to be solved. The workshop shall give an overview of state-of-the-art approaches and systems. As many technologies are available to deal with the variety of applications, we would like to continue to cover ultra-wideband technology as it is becoming of great importance in the area of positioning, navigation and communication. Topics You are invited to submit papers presenting scientific work or practical implementations addressing, but not limited to the following topics: * Positioning o Outdoor-Radio Systems (terrestrial & satellite-based) o Indoor-Positioning o Hybrid Approaches * Navigation o Pedestrian Navigation o Vehicle and Robot Navigation * Communication and Services o Integrated Positioning and Communication o Location Based Services o Application Scenarios * Ultra-Wideband o Positioning and Localization o Architectures, Systems, Protocols o Hybrid Positioning and Communication o Regulatory Issues, EMC/EMI Submission Guidelines Full-paper or poster submissions in the form of extended abstracts (max. 2 pages) or full papers (max. 10 pages) are requested electronically in PDF-format in English language until Nov. 2, 2007. Paper submission is handled only through the TrackChair paper review system at http://wpnc08.trackchair.com. With acceptance, complete contributions of up to 10 pages are expected until Feb. 8, 2008. |
