Call For Papers

The ICORS 2009 conference aims to join people working on robust statistics and related fields. It intends to bring together both leading experts and young researchers, thus creating a forum to cover recent progress and to stimulate exchanges among active researchers. The conference will also encourage informal contacts and discussions between participants.

Contributions to applied statistics are welcome as well as theoretical ones, introducing new problems related to or interacting with robust statistics. The following areas are mentioned, but contributed talks on other related topics are welcome as well:

* Concepts and theory of robust statistics
* Asymptotic theory and efficiency
* Nonparametric methods
* Multivariate analysis
* Data depth
* Quantile regression models
* Linear and generalized linear models; mixed models
* Biostatistics
* Official statistics and survey sampling
* Statistical methods in business and finance
* Statistical methods in telecommunications
* Statistical methods in bioinformatics/genetics
* Statistical computing, graphics and data mining
