Call For Papers

Deadline extended until June 5. Deadline extended until June 5. Deadline June 5.

Conference Objective

The Atlantic Web Intelligence Conference (Spain – 2003, Mexico – 2004, Poland – 2005, Israel – 2006, France – 2007) brings together scientists, engineers, computer users, and students to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects (theory, applications and tools) of intelligent methods applied to Web based systems, and to discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.

The conference will cover a broad set of intelligent methods, with particular emphasis on soft computing. Methods such as (but not restricted to):

Neural Networks
Swarm intelligence
Fuzzy Logic
Multivalued Logic
Rough Sets
Ontologies
Evolutionary Programming
Intelligent CBR
Genetic Algorithms
Semantic Networks
Intelligent Agents
Reinforcement Learning
Knowledge Management
should be related to applications on the Web like:

Web Design
Information Retrieval
Electronic Commerce
Conversational Systems
Recommender Systems
Browsing and Exploration
Adaptive Web
User Profiling/Clustering
E-mail/SMS filtering
Negotiation Systems
Security, Privacy, and Trust
Social networks
Social Networks and Social Intelligence
Social Networks Mining
Link Topology and Site Hierarchy
Search in network
Web Content Mining
Web Log and Usage Mining
Web Information Clustering
Submission Guidelines
We solicit research and experience papers as well as research-in-progress and practitioner reports applying artificial intelligence and soft computing techniques to Web in any of the areas listed above. The AWIC’09 papers will be published by Springer as part of their Advances in Soft Computing series. Papers should be prepared in LATEX and have a length of up to 10 pages following the Springer format: www.springer.com. Papers will be accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the conference topics. A double reviewing process will be used.
