Call for Papers International Conference on Electronic Government and the Information Systems Perspective EGOVIS 2010 in conjunction with DEXA 2010 www.dexa.org Bilbao (Spain) August 30-September 3, 2010 We are proud to announce two invited talks: * Trevor Bench-Capon, University of Liverpool, UK Tentative title: “We Can Work It Out: Argumentation techniques for e-particpation” * Roland Traunmüller, University of Linz, Austria Title: “Web 2.0 Applications create a new Government” The international conference EGOVIS represents a continuous sequel of the 8th International Conference EGOV in conjunction with DEXA, which focuses on information systems aspects of e-government. Information systems are a core enabler for electronic government/governance with all its dimensions: e-administration, e-democracy, e-participation and e-voting. EGOVIS papers should be submitted by researchers and practitioners describing innovative solutions, from an IT standpoint. The conference delivers a platform for a broad discussion, from stakeholders dealing with information systems aspects of electronic government. - Hence it will offer the opportunity to extensive discussions on problems, requirements, and implemented solutions in the field. EGOVIS 2010 invites paper submissions on all topics of e-government from the information systems perspectives with all its dimensions and peculiarities within the areas of e-democracy, e-participation e-voting and others. Suggested Topics: Papers from the field of e-government focussing the information systems perspectives are invited for submission. For paper registration and electronic submission see http://confdriver.ifs.tuwien.ac.at/ starting January 2010. Submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. Duplicate submissions are not allowed. Authors are expected to agree to the following terms: "I understand that the paper being submitted must not overlap substantially with any other paper that I am a co-author of and that is currently submitted elsewhere. Furthermore, previously published papers with any overlap are cited prominently in this submission." Duplicate submissions will be rejected. ACCEPTED PAPERS: All accepted conference papers will be published in "Lecture Notes in Computer Science" (LNCS) by Springer Verlag. Accepted papers will be of two sizes: regular (15-page papers) and short (up to 8 pages). The former will tend to be descriptions of complete technical work, while the latter will tend to be descriptions of interesting, innovative ideas, which nevertheless require more work to mature. Authors of accepted papers must sign a Springer copyright release form.
