We are pleased to invite you to prepare and submit papers to the 20th International Conference on Engineering Design, ICED15! Click here to download the flyer. The ICED15 conference will be held in Milan, at the same time as EXPO 2015, making this a truly unique occasion for participants to at¬tend both events. The EXPO 2015 theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” inspired the ICED15 motto to be “Design for Life”, which points to the role and responsibility that designers have in improving human existence. “Design for a healthy life”, “Design for a sustainable life” and “Design for a contented life” are three fields in which design can have a particularly strong impact and have therefore been selected as themes for the ICED15 conference. The conference programme will include applied, theoretical and result-oriented papers from both academia and industry. Substantial and original papers based on rigorous analysis and argumentation will be considered for inclusion. We will be especially pleased to receive papers aimed at stimulating discussion, for which specific sessions will be set up. Submissions should aim to fit the Design Society topics listed below and, if applicable, authors may choose to tag them with one of the ICED15 themes in order to improve their visibility with respect to EXPO 2015. All submissions are expected as full papers, not exceeding 10 pages, following the guidelines and templates provided on the ICED 15 website. Each paper submitted will be reviewed by three reviewers in a double-blind process. All accepted papers will be published both in electronic and paper form. ICED proceedings will be submitted for indexing by leading institutions (ISI Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar). Papers should be submitted using the ICED15 Conference Management System.
