Students are encouraged to form their own groups, propose a topic, and submit an abstract in the format given below. Student groups, whose proposals are selected, will have access to facilitators who can help them prepare for their sessions and facilitate their sessions at the conference. Individual students may also submit proposals: If they are selected, the organizers will help them to form groups and identify a suitable group topic.

All interested participants are invited to submit an abstract (max. 500 words) addressing any of the following sub-themes:
• Diversity and multiculturalism on campus: Opportunities and challenges for teaching and learning
• Gen Y learners or ‘digital natives’: What to teach? How to teach? What to learn? How to learn?
• Innovative student engagement methods
• Literacies for the new world economy
• Student-centric teaching and learning strategies and approaches
• Sustainability and quality assurance issues in tertiary education
