The editors invite scholarly articles on Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) to focus on the technological support of any pedagogical approach that utilizes technology, to be considered for a special issue of the MEEM, which is the official publication of the IEEE Education Society Student Activities Committee (ISSN 1558-7908) whose primary objective is to facilitate the publication of interesting, useful, and informative material on all aspects of multidisciplinary engineering education for the benefit of students and young educators.

We are inviting students or young researchers/educators to submit articles relevant to the following topics, but not limit to, in this special issue:
Topics for submission include but are not limited to:
– Affective and Pervasive Computing for Learning
– Classroom, Ubiquitous and Mobile Technologies Enhanced
Learning (CUMTEL)
– Development and applications of digital content for e-learning
– Discipline-based cases for e-learning
– e-Learning Accessibility (EA)
– Emerging tools and technologies for e-learning
– Game-based Learning
– Information Society & Culture (ISC)
– Innovative Design of Learning Software (IDOLS)
– Joyful Learning & Society (JL&S)
– Learning and Knowledge Management
– Mobile and Ubiquitous Learning
– Social computing in e-learning
– Technology Enhanced Language Learning (TELL)
– Technology Enhanced Science Learning (TESL)
– Technology Facilitated Testing and Assessment (TFTA)
– Theoretical foundations for e-learning
– Trends in content/courseware development

The MEEM publishes three types of articles:
• Regular papers (5 or more pages)
• Short papers (around 3 pages)
• Letters (free size, with a mininum of one page)

Timeline
• Submission of manuscripts - June 30, 2011
• Reviews back to authors – August 1, 2011
• Revised manuscript submitted - August 15, 2011
• Final decision notification - August 30, 2011
• Expected publication date – September or December, 2011
