Call For Papers | |||||||||||||
ASNA 2013 – August 27 - 30, University of Zurich
1 Call for Papers 10 Years of ASNA - We originally aimed at bringing together Social Network Analysis researchers working in the Zurich area and now find ourselves organizing the tenth ASNA conference in a row. Time flies ... ASNA became an internationally recognized and attended conference and besides the by now common conference elements - the methods workshops, the panels, the keynotes - this year, we would also like to take stock of what has happened in the world of SNA applications, discuss current and future trends, and last but not least celebrate. We accept submissions from all disciplines with a focus on applications of Social Network Analysis, but submissions on theoretical and methodological issues are also welcome. We thus look forward to meeting you in Zurich, Switzerland, 27-30 August 2013. Keynote by James Fowler, University of California San Diego, USA Workshops ========= Introduction to SNA, Advanced Applications of SNA, SIENA, ERGM, visone, DNA. Organizing Committee Manuel Fischer, EAWAG and University of Bern, IPW Karin Ingold, U of Bern, Institute of Political Science, and EAWAG Sabrina Ruggieri, U of Bern, Department of Psychology Uwe Serdült, Centre for Democracy Studies Aarau (ZDA) at UZH Fabio Sticca, U of Konstanz and Pädagogische Hochschule Thurgau Submission and Presentation =========================== ASNA 2013 accepts three different types of submissions. Besides offering two types of paper presentations, we now also organize a poster session. The paper formats differ with respect to submission criteria, presentation and discussion time, and consideration for publication. Only full papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in the reviewed conference proceedings (Procedia – Social and Behavioral Sciences, by Elsevier). Posters will be exhibited in the main entrance hall during the conference and presented during a specific poster session. All types require the submission of an extended abstract (700-1’000 words) by May 15, and receive notice of acceptance by June 15, 2013. Abstracts have to be submitted via Conftool. |
