Fifth International Conference on Innovative Mobile and Internet Services in Ubiquitous Computing (IMIS-2011)
In conjunction with CISIS-2011 International Conference http://www.takilab.org/conf/imis/2011/ June 30th-July 2nd, 2011 Korean Bible University (KBU), Seoul, Korea With the proliferation of wireless technologies and electronic devices, there is a fast growing interest in Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing (UPC). UPC enables to create a human-oriented computing environment where computer chips are embedded in everyday objects and interact with physical world. Through UPC, people can get online even while moving around, thus having almost permanent access to their preferred services. With a great potential to revolutionize our lives, UPC also poses new research challenges. IMIS International Conference will focus on the challenges and solutions for UPC with an emphasis on innovative, mobile and internet services. The conference will provide an opportunity for academic and industry professionals to discuss the latest issues and progress in the area of UPC. The conference will publish high quality papers, which are closely related to the various theories and practical applications in UPC. In addition, we expect that the conference and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvements in this important subject. *Topics (included, but are not limited to) - Theoretical foundations for UPC - Algorithmic paradigms, models and analysis for UPC - Context-aware scheme - Smart spaces and intelligent environments - Embedded systems and wearable computers - Middleware and agent technologies - Programming paradigms for pervasive and ubiquitous computing applications - Knowledge-based Systems - Mobile computing systems and services - Mobile Internet and mobility management - Wireless sensors, ad-hoc and mesh networks - Security issues and protocols - Security threats and model - Authentication and Access control - Privacy and trust - Ubiquitous Computing Applications - Business model and protocols for ubiquitous services - Emerging standards and technologies *Important Dates: Submission Deadline: December 1, 2010 Author Notification: February 5, 2011 Final Manuscript: March 11, 2011 Author Registration: March 25, 2011 Conference Dates: June 30th-July 2nd, 2011 *Submission Guidelines Submit a full paper not more than eight pages (Proceedings Manuscripts: two columns, single-spaced), including figures and references, using 10 font size, and number each page. You can find instructions for authors how to format the manuscript at the following web page: http://www.computer.org/portal/site/cscps/ Please prepare your paper in PDF file and submit it electronically to the online submission system (link to be announced soon). Accepted papers will be given guidelines in preparing and submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of acceptance. Proceedings of the IMIS-2011 will be published by Conference Publishing Service (CPS). Presented papers at IMIS-2011 will be considered for publication in several Special Issues in International Journals. *Workshops If you would like to organize a workshop, please submit a workshop proposal including call for papers, number of papers to be accepted, contact person, to the CISIS-2011 workshop Co-Chairs by November 1, 2010.
