The eighth annual IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering
(IEEE CASE 2012) will be held on August 20-24, 2012, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Seoul, Korea. IEEE CASE represents the flagship automation conference of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. The conference aims to bring together researchers in automation from both industry and academia, together with industrial practitioners, to present and discuss the latest advances and developments in automation science and engineering. The 2012 edition of IEEE CASE will place special emphasis on the themes of Automation in Semiconductor/Display Manufacturing, Low Carbon Green Technology and Automation, Automotive Manufacturing, Automation in Service Industries, and Automation in Heavy Industries, in addition to the traditional coverage of the latest advances in the Foundations of Automation, Automation at the Meso-, Micro-, and Nano-Scales, Information Automation, Automation in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences and Health Care, and Networked and Control Systems. Conference Venue: The conference will be held in the spectacular Namsan Grand Hyatt Hotel, Seoul, Korea, situated minutes from the historic city center. Having already been transformed into one of the most vibrant cities in the world, Seoul has been chosen as the World Design Capital for 2010 and is in the midst of a second major reshaping. The Namsan Grand Hyatt offers easy access to the historic palaces, museums, and traditional markets of the city center, to chic restaurants in Chungdam, jazz clubs and bars in Hongdae and Itaewon, and shopping in the Zaha Hadid-designed Dongdaemun Design Plaza and Park. Many special social events are being planned for the participants of CASE 2012.
