International Journal of Applied Pattern Recognition (IJAPR)
Call for Papers for Regular Issue The International Journal of Applied Pattern Recognition presents original research on the theoretical, experimental and applied aspects of pattern analysis, extraction, classification and clustering. Feature selection, feature extraction, large data problems, online learning, classifiers and perception models are some of focus areas of the journal. IJAPR acknowledges and encourages submissions reflecting the importance of large data analysis and online learning in industrial applications. IJAPR publishes the following three types of articles: (1) original regular papers (max. 7000 words), (2) research reviews (max. 10000 words) and (3) short papers (max. 2000 words). Original regular papers are full innovative findings that make significant theoretical and/or experimental contributions to knowledge in the field by using various theoretical and methodological approaches. Short papers present interesting and significant results that warrant rapid publication. Research reviews are perceptive and prudently constructed articles that conceptualise research areas, blend previous innovative findings, advance the understanding of the field, and identify and develop future research directions. The broad range of topics suitable for IJAPR includes but is not limited to: 1. Face recognition and analysis 2. Speech recognition and analysis 3. Natural object recognition and analysis 4. Image recognition 5. Speaker recognition 6. Biometric recognition 7. Predictive modelling applications 8. Large data forecasting applications 9. Insect and plant recognition 10. Geographic applications 11. Natural language recognition 12. Pattern recognition in biosciences applications 13. Pattern recognition in health informatics applications 14. Pattern recognition in library applications 15. Pattern recognition in computational sciences applications Important Dates We are now accepting submissions. Papers will be reviewed on a rolling basis; early submission is therefore encouraged. No fee is charged from authors for publishing their articles. Review to decision time: 1-3 months Example issues: http://www.inderscience.com/info/inarticletoc.php?jcode=ijapr&year=2013&vol=1&issue=1 http://www.inderscience.com/info/inarticletoc.php?jcode=ijapr&year=2014&vol=1&issue=2 http://www.inderscience.com/info/inarticletoc.php?jcode=ijapr&year=2014&vol=1&issue=3 |
