CALL FOR BOOK CHAPTERS
Discrete and Continuous Simulation: Theory and Practice (Call for Book Chapter) To be published by CRC Press (Taylor and Francis) (Confirmed) This is a book on Simulation which is expected be helpful for researchers from various fields of study. The special features of this book will include: Optimization with the help of Simulation, a Study of Continuous Event Simulation, hybrid simulation, a review of applications of Simulation in various fields of study, Simulation in Supply Chain and Manufacturing, directions to future technologies and trends of Simulation. The researchers are expected to get a detailed idea of Simulation Theory and its applications, along with an overview of related literature on Simulation, particularly in the field of Manufacturing. The researchers are also expected to get ideas of optimization with the help of Simulation and the direction to further study in this field. THE CHAPTER MUST BE IN THE FORM OF TUTORIAL ON ANY OF THE RECOMMENDED TOPICS AS SHOWN BELOW. Recommended topics are limited to the following: Basic Concepts of Simulation and Discrete Event Simulation Monte Carlo Simulation Introduction to Probability Theory Probability Distributions Inferential Statistics, Hypothesis Test, Analysis of Variance Introduction to Random Number Generators Random Variates Generation Cases on Complex Simulations Agent Based Simulation Simulation with Cellular Automata More Concepts on Simulation of Complex Systems Steady State Behavior of Stochastic Process Statistical Analysis of Steady State Parameters Manufacturing Simulation Computer Simulation Simulation in Other Disciplines Introduction to Continuous Simulation Applications of Continuous Simulation Practical Cases of Optimization with Simulation Algorithms for Simulation Based Optimization Manufacturing Simulation: Various Aspects Simulation for Supply Chain: Present and Future Types Simulation Softwares Review of Applications of Various Simulation Softwares Future Trends of Simulation Technologies Submission Procedure Authors, researchers and industry practitioners are invited to submit a 1 page chapter proposal on or before February 20, 2013 to mail-id: dcstp2013@gmail.com / ranjanbhattacharya2011@gmail.com. The chapter must be in the form of tutorial. The proposal will clearly be explaining the mission and motivation of their proposed chapter. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by February 25, 2013 about the status of their proposals and will be sent the chapter guidelines. Full chapters are required to be submitted by April 30, 2013 to mail-id: DCSTP2013@gmail.com / ranjanbhattacharya2011@gmail.com. All submitted chapters will be peer reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for the submitted chapters.
