MultiCom-2015 is dedicated to address the challenges in delivering quality
multimedia content within heavily loaded communication infrastructures such as the Internet and wireless mobile networks. The workshop aims to cover research areas including the design, implementation and evaluation of enabling technologies for new multimedia systems in wired, wireless, or heterogeneous networks and multimedia CDN backhaul. It also intends to bring together researchers and specialists from academia and industry to share their experience and achievements and establish new collaborations in this very promising research field. Authors may contribute to the workshop by submitting articles presenting their research results, projects and industrial developments that demonstrate significant advances in the following areas, but are not limited to: - Protocols and algorithms for multimedia content delivery networks - Multimedia quality: Objective and Subjective evaluation techniques - QoE-driven Scheduling and rate adaptation - Peer-to-peer multimedia streaming - Video coding and processing - Error resilience and loss control - Video transmission in wireless networks - Adaptive streaming over HTTP - Multimedia streaming technology for 4G/5G mobile networks - Multimedia technology for e-health - Multimedia Big Data computing and transmission - Multimedia broadcasting - Multimedia technology for Internet of Things - Multimedia content caching and distribution - Cross-layer optimization - Mobile TV and IPTV - Network structure, routing and resource management - Playout buffer management |
